Kafoodle made an appearance in The Morning Advertiser this morning within an article discussing the "major improvement in pubs' allergen awareness controls" and in the context of our new partnership with the Laine Pub company.

New research from the Food Standard Agency (FSA) suggests that allergen awareness in pubs has improved since the introduction of the Food Information to Consumer Regulations (FIC) in 2014. The new regulations mean that any business wishing to serve food must provide information regarding allergenic ingredients either in writing or verbally. The FSA's new research has shown that consumers now have a greater confidence in asking staff questions and has indicated improvements to the eating out experiences of those with a food allergy or intolerance. The Morning Advertiser comments that "The information provided on the menu was seen by many to be the main source of information about allergens and overall, people wanted that to be so... There was a strong theme, both pre and post legislation that menus, rather than staff, should constitute the primary and comprehensive source of information about allergens""Taking this new research into account, Brighton and London-base pub group Laine Pub company have signed up labeling and allergen compliance experts Kafoodle to help support menu management in it's London Estate."For more information about Kafoodle's partnership with the Laine Pub Company you can read the Propel press release here, or to read the full Morning Advertiser article click here.
