To help get your head around it The King's Fund has created an 'alternative guide'. This snazzy animation reveals the connections, initiatives and implementations that the NHS are working towards in order to control spending; whilst still delivering the highest standard of care.

The King's Fund is an independent charity working to improve health and care in England. Their vision is to ensure that 'the best possible health and care is available to all' and they strive to achieve this through research, working with organisations, bringing like-minded people together and promoting a greater understanding.The animation has managed to squeeze an overwhelming amount of information into a concise six and a half minutes, helping to unwind the tangled NHS-web in a visual masterpiece.
