They're polishing-up the pastries, buffing-up the buns and shining-up the scones at a popular bakery.It's because Warings in Burghfield Common, Berkshire has been voted England's Most-Loved Bakery. Customers have praised the bakery, founded in 1932, for the high-quality of cakes and bakes, the extensive range of hand-crafted products on offer and the excellent service of the hard-working staff."It feels fantastic to be voted the Most-Loved Bakery in England," said Daniel Carr, from Warings."Bakeries are an important part of any community and it's great to see that we're so 'loved' by our customers."The accolade was awarded as part of the recent Craft Bakers' Week, a national celebration showcasing the skills that bakers use every day. Warings pride themselves on creating hand-crafted products containing no added additives or preservatives. Signature bakes include Gypsy Tart, a regional speciality, Bread Pudding, original recipe (handed down over four generations) Eccles Cakes and their Cheese and Marmite bread.But Warings weren't the only winners from Craft Bakers' Week. Participating bakers helped raise thousands of pounds for the Make-A-Wish charity, helping children with life-threatening illnesses.
